The Social Impact Fund is a public charity, with a 501(c)(3) determination from the IRS and decades of experience and a deep expertise in helping our partners make a lasting difference in the world.
To be considered for fiscal sponsorship, please review our Eligibility Requirements (below) and fill out the form on this page, in its entirety. We can then determine if SIF will is the best fit for your project. Upon review, you may be asked to be contacted for an interview, and may be invited to submit a formal application for fiscal sponsorship.

Eligibility:
Programmatic Requirements
- Project should have a mission statement, which is charitable in nature.
- Activities must be charitable in purpose to benefit the public interest.
- Project should include an advisory board to assist with programmatic activities and planning
- Project cannot participate in any political campaign activity or influence legislation of any kind.
- Activities of the project must not affect SIF’s status as a 501(c)(3) organization in any way
Financial Requirements
- Project should have a minimum of $25k in donations to get started
- Project will provide a general start-up budget that reflects a minimum of $360k in annual revenue
- Sponsoring entity should be formed as a business entity (LLC, Corp., etc.). Entity will serve as signatory on SIF agreement, and with vendor and contractor agreements.
- SIF does not typically enter into fiscal sponsor agreements with individuals. Certain conditions may apply.
Understanding Fiscal Sponsorship
- Project understands that SIF retains ultimate and total authority and responsibility over the receipt of incoming funds and expenditures.
- Project understands that SIF follows generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and sets policies and procedures consistent with non-profit governance, operations and Board directives.
